A series of two-sided pills looking at the increasingly blurred relationship between humans and technology. Each pill pairs two ideas - human/machine, real/synthetic, memory/data, desire/algorithm. Some are opposites, some depend on each other, and some are becoming hard to tell apart.
I chose the pill, not only because they come in fantastic colours and are so iconic, but because the pill is both a binary object and something we consume to alter ourselves. Here it becomes a metaphor for technology: something we have absorbed into everyday life, changing how we think, remember, create, communicate and make decisions.
The work is less about choosing one side or the other, and more about what happens when the distinction between the two begins to disappear.
