Ants

Ralph Lazar's numbered ants are loose. London. Cape Town. New York. Istanbul. Amsterdam. San Francisco. Los Angeles. Wherever he's been.

They're meant to stay, and some have. The big ones at the old surf station in Muizenberg and K-TOWN NW5 are landmarks now.

But once an ant is on the street, it isn't his anymore. If it stays, it becomes part of the place. If it goes, it becomes part of someone's life. Either way, it's out of his hands.
