Bio

Ralph Lazar's first twenty years were spent in Africa, the next twenty in Europe, and the last ten in northern California (Marin County). He now lives in London and Cape Town.
He was born in Johannesburg and studied law and economics at the University of Cape Town and the London School of Economics.
After graduation he worked in finance for several years, and was lucky enough to visit thirty-six countries during this time.
Lisa convinced him to quit, and they moved to a tiny island in the Seychelles (Île au Cerf), where they started their illustration licensing business, Last Lemon. Through Last Lemon they have sold more than two million books in over twenty languages.
His art practice was born in California in 2016, when he began contemporaneously recording the news.
