I love Dillon beach. It’s an hour north of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge. I have kite-surfed at Dillon for the last eleven years. It works in a NW and sometimes the swell gets very big at the back – frequently 2-3x overhead – which is really fun but also scares the shit out of me. It’s a rough, wind-swept and very beautiful place, especially as the sun goes down over Pt. Reyes. Even though I’m pretty mediocre at this sport, Dillon and her band of fellow kiters have given me great pleasure over the years. I’ll miss you…

This piece records my last session there on 22-2-22.
