Between July 2015 and September 2022 I released 1,584 Lyles into the Califoniascape.
San Francisco and LA are their main foraging grounds, but herds have been spotted as far east as Brooklyn.
They vary in size, from 7″ Baby Lyles that perch on desktops, to herds of 8ft Giant Lyles that stand guard over whole communities.
The breeding program has now moved to London and Cape Town.
Herds have been spotted in the East End from October 2022 and in Kirstenbosch from March 2023.

Lyles are made of hand-cut MDF, hand-painted, varnished, sanded, and then signed, numbered and dated on the back. Of course each one is unique and therefore will vary ever-so-slightly from the photos.
