The full US Constitution (4,543 words – each word individually drawn, cut out and randomly reconfigured.)
Both the shaper of history and its plaything, the US Constitution contains a profoundly influential cocktail of words.
The struggle to prevail over their meaning is the story of the United States. As someone now living in the US, it has become my struggle too. Whose interpretation of these words will triumph? The NRA or The Sierra Club? Hamilton or Madison? We the People or the 1%? Or my own interpretation, where I have randomly reconfigured the 4,543 words to lose all meaning, except that of Art.
